Paul gives a final “word” to the church he loved so much. Though imperfect in almost every way, Paul had a love and desire for this church to grow and mature and know Christ and make Him known to a world immersed in sin, idolatry, and empty pursuits.

The challenge for us today is to heed the message of Paul–given 2,000 years ago–in today’s context. Are we living out the identity to which we possess as followers of Christ? Are we strengthened by God’s power rather than living in the futile, feeble, and finite power from within?
