Suffering is part of life. It happens to everyone. Paul doesn’t call the believer to just grit their teeth and push through… Rather, we are encouraged to focus on the purpose behind suffering when living for Christ: preparation for the life to come. God calls us to have the proper perspective… that which is temporary is light compared to that which is eternal.

Inner renewal comes as an eternal reality becomes the focus.
