Purity or Promiscuity… Seeking Spiritual Profit
That which is permitted is not always profitable. God gives believers incredible freedom to live life with love, joy, and peace. There is also forgiveness of sins, restored relationships, and renewed life with new priorities, pursuits, and pleasures; all that honor and glorify God.
The question every follower of Christ must ask is this: What am I going to do with the freedom won for me by Christ at the Cross?
Will I use it to live independently (or ignorantly) of God’s will for my life? Will I use the newfound freedom to enjoy everything this world has to offer?
The paradox is this: we are truly free when we are bound. In other words, we find complete freedom when living as ones bound to Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
We are called to purity and holiness and it is when our conduct aligns with our calling that we find the most satisfaction and fulfillment we ever could as believers rescued the clutches of sin, death, and devil.
