In all three Synoptic Gospels, Jesus has difficult conversations, extends personal invitations and calls, and experiences different responses from the crowds.

If Jesus experienced negative responses in His call to sinners to receive grace, what should the follower of Christ expect in extending the same invitation to a still hostile world?

What does it look like to follow Christ in the 21st century? Is discipleship outdated? Irrelevant? For a few and not the whole? We will unpack this in a short sermon series to launch the new year.
