The Battle Belongs to the Lord
Should God’s servants defend themselves when falsely accused or misrepresented? That is the question…
Paul defends, not himself, but the apostolic authority bestowed by Christ. With great irony, the ones trying to take credit for the fruits of Paul’s labors are the same ones laying out charges of cowardice, weakness, and disqualifying meddling.
In the end, Paul says what matters most is who and what the Lord Jesus Christ establishes versus any mere man. So, Paul lets the Lord fight his battles.
