Life and death… these sum up the experience of all on earth. The call of the author of Ecclesiastes is to live life while enjoying God’s good gifts. However, there is a sobering reality check that all of the pleasures of life must be had with a tempered reverence of God’s will and way. It is only then that one lives acceptably before their Creator.
