Paul had just finished explaining the role of every believer: an ambassador for Christ. One who represents and one who delivers the message. Christians are more than volunteers, they are representatives elected by Christ!

In this section, Paul shares “what” an ambassador looks like… using his own life and ministry. Paul was not an elitist that argued only pastors and missionaries are to minister. Rather, all are to seek the glory of Christ by proclaiming and living in light of the saving message of the cross.
