Advent is upon us! Though we are not liturgical, there is no reason we cannot look back in wonder and awe at Christ’s first coming and look ahead in anticipation of His Second Coming, His Second Advent.

This second week, we consider the words of Isaiah concerning the preparation God’s people must take for the fulfilled promises of God soon upon us. The person of faith looks ahead with a spirit of proactive preparation. The person of doubt sees no need in being prepared or taking seriously God’s Word.
