There is a lot of deception out there in this world. There are people acting and pretending to be something they’re not and enjoy the public limelight… yet in the private recesses… sheer misery. There is a wisdom of this world which may lead to success and popularity, but on a spiritual and eternal level… all is naught. As the wise author of Ecclesiastes reports, “There is nothing new under the sun…” and such worldly pursuits are like “chasing after the wind…”

God certainly wants us to boast… just not in men! We are to boast, praise, glorify His name because He alone is worthy.

In this passage of Scripture, Paul reminds this local church body that they have been won from divisions, selfish factions, cliques, and fads. As Christ-followers, they have access to all things and in their belonging to Christ, they have ownership over all things.

Most problems in the church and society are a result of an IDENTITY CRISIS. Come worship as we explore who we are in Jesus Christ and who we belong to!
