This week, we get a glimpse on the suffering and sacrifice of Christ’s servants. Those who bear their own cross, deny self, and follow Christ will follow Him into a world in need of God’s love but filled with rage, rebellion, and hatred toward God and God’s people.

Paul does not boast in his own strength but in his weakness. Paul does not point to his own merit but in his misgivings. Paul does not commend himself but Christ Who paid it all and wins for each believer the victory.
