Not knowing what will come of our best efforts should not lead to despair or despondency but, rather, a healthy and humble recognition of our limitations in light of God’s excellencies. The “mystery” in our limited knowledge in no way lessens the joy one can experience in life. Rather, the “difficult truths” of life under the sun should elicit the very best effort and the greatest amount of continual trust in the Providence of God.
